Phoenix Aero Club is a not-for-profit, CASA Part 141 flight school based at Camden Airport, Sydney, with a proud history of training pilots since 1977. We specialise in affordable, personalised flight training delivered in a supportive and community-focused environment.
Our training is tailored to each student’s goals and availability, whether you’re taking your first steps into aviation or progressing toward a licence. We offer Trial Instructional Flights and licence training all the way from RPL through to CPL and Multi-Engine Instrument Ratings and Instructor Ratings. All training is competency-based and conducted by experienced instructors who are committed to developing safe, confident, and capable pilots.
Phoenix Aero Club operates a well-maintained fleet including the Cessna 150, Cessna 172, and Piper PA-28, and provides aircraft hire to licensed members following a check flight. As a volunteer-led organisation and registered charity, we are focused on reducing barriers to entry and keeping aviation accessible without compromising safety or professionalism.
Beyond flight training, Phoenix Aero Club is a welcoming aviation community where members, students, and enthusiasts can connect, learn, and share a passion for flying. Whether you’re exploring aviation for the first time or returning to the skies, Phoenix Aero Club offers a friendly, professional place to start your journey.
