Founded in 1982 as a RAAF Welfare Club, Pearce Flying Club operated from both RAAF Base Pearce and RAAF Base Gingin, before relocating to Jandakot Airport due to increased security and access restrictions at RAAF Bases. In 1998, the Club became a Not-for-profit organisation (NFP), operating as Pearce Flying Club Inc. The Pearce Flying Club Inc. still continues to support both Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Members and the local community with affordable flight training, aircraft hire and social activities. The Club now operates from the Wingman Academies Hangar, located on the Northern Apron at Jandakot Airport adjacent to Gate 15. The Wingman Academies facility features a dedicated briefing room complete with kitchen and washroom facilities.
